I had the same problem in my X5 and yes it turned...

I had the same problem in my X5 and yes it turned out to be my front control arm bushings. They were cracked and leaking oil. And i had the exact same symptoms the OP is having. And thanks!!

2003 3.0 burning 1 qt oil/2500 mi normal?

Hey guys i have a 2003 X5 with 72000 miles on the clock. And the most recent oil change has been done by dealer at 67000 miles and it started complaining about the oil level and the dealer topped it...
