First off, any EPA numbers are going to be more closely achieved in the real world by the diesel X5, not the gas ones, EPA numbers are pie-in-the-sky figures that are tough to match in most cases....

New X5 35d on order, had a question tho...

My order included the Sport Activity Package, but I specifically did not include the Adaptive Drive option (wife's car and I have an E90 M3 to fit the bill with regards to my driving enjoyment)....
