The idea is I just bought the car (a 2000 540), the GPS is old, if I find some quite cheap way to repair it, I do it, but taking an mk4 would be too expensive for my use of the car.

No MKII GPS menu option on screen ?
Hi,
I just got an e39 from 2000.
The GPS is an MK2. But there isn't any "GPS Navigation" option on the screen.
I tried updating the firmware with no luck, nothing happens.
