Found that as well, you cannot remove the glovebox like it says in that post (and the FSU is completely different)...my glovebox sits towards the too of the dash and opens with two flaps so it is...

Final stage unit 2006 x5 4.8i

Having trouble accessing the final stage unit to replace it. I have removed the side carpeted panel and the bottom passenger foot well panel, can see and touch the FSU but can't figure out how to get...
