I wouldn't put tires that are wider than my wheel well on a car. That's why I am asking about it on a X5 forum and not asking about it for my M5 lol... this can't be the first time this has been...

The only reason is to fill out the wheel wells more, I don't like the amount of gap and think that maybe a slightly taller/wider tire would make it look better

I am looking to keep the 18s but fill out the wheel wells with more rubber, sorry I wasn't clear in the OP. I am not looking to upgrade to bigger wheels just tires.
