You would whine too if you were left out in the bitter cold all night long. Could be the tranny, transfer case or a belt. If it goes away after only half a second, I would feel ok with that.

I used a pair of bungee cords, looped them around...

I used a pair of bungee cords, looped them around the door handle and then attached them to the posts on the head rest. It at least kept them from flying open on turns. A real pain in the tookas. ...

Ok the quick fix to get the door to close. The X5 lock will freeze after it rains and then the temps drop below freezing.
