Well, that's exactly my point. The future value of any vehicle (X5, C300, etc.) can't be accurately predicted. So unless you are confident that you will keep the car vehicle for 5+ years - why not...

Yes - and I may end up with a 3 year lease for that reason. However, I would like a 2 year lease because I would like to keep my options more flexible for a possible updated 5 series or the X6.

I like the safety and security of the xi for winter driving. I just have no desire to swap out tires twice a year - especially since this will be a short term lease.
