The compressor changed on build date 10/2002...
The compressor changed on build date 10/2002 (according to Rockauto), my build is 09/2003, so I have the newer variable-displacement compressor. I confirmed today by looking under the hood.

A bigger bolt would obviously be stronger but wouldn't it be just as hard to get it moving, unless the thread pitch was finer? Maybe a 3/4" bolt with fine thread would do it?
