I also like the HUD very much (especially for NAV) but be aware that it uses a special windsield (double layerd), so if you crack it you will be out $1,500 for repairs, vs some $3-400 without it.

Absolutely. In the assistance window you can select the route view which will give you the direction arrows and turn approaches. Same goes on the HUD automatically if you are in the navigation mode.
