Update the seats came from a 2003 X5 so certainly no problems on that front, my old seats were manual cloth the new seats are leather and electric.

The drivers seat (RHS, Uk) has memory function...

As far as the pyros, yes disconnected the battery first then carefully unplugged the seats from the loom...

I bought some sport leather electric seats and fitted them in my 01 X5 all fits fine as expected but the drivers seat won't work!

The passengers seat works fine plugged into the existing loom.
