i've had mine in 6 times to try and fix this rattling/clunk noise. they replaced sway bar end links and "hydraulic accumulator" already but the noise is still there. this time i asked them to look...

Did they replace the entire sway bar?

Mine replaced end links about 2 months ago - didn't help.

2 weeks ago they replaced an "accumulator" and i think it's a little better but i still get...

I just got imy e70 back. They were about to send me home with no work done on the clunk, but the Service Mgr called and said that in a "roundtable" discussion someone suggested changing...

thanks for the pointer. that sounds reasonable b/c the 2nd time i took it in the tech "clearanced the heat shield" which i thought made the sound less noticeable for a short time.

Hi there. I have the same front end clunk in the undercarriage as you seem to have. Did you ever get it fixed?

I've had my e70 3.0 in to the dealer THREE times and they cannot fix it.. and didn't...

I don't have the 6FL connection, but I do connect my ipod through the AUX connection in the glovebox. When listening to the ipod on AUX and turning off the car, the stereo reverts to Weather Band...

i went through all of them and only noticed a loose cable in the gearbox SIB.

i was thinking, could it also be cracked/broken motor mounts? my wife's camry had this problem, and the symptoms...

i've always had it set to "blue"/cold.

my solution is to shut off my rear climate control. when i do that, the a/c output in the front DOUBLES... but d*mn, I paid extra money for an option that reduces the performance of my x5. sheesh.

yeah i've got the sport suspension.

i realize the sway bars are there to help when i'm cornerning at high speeds and to prevent rollovers. but it's annoying hearing it all the time rattling around like that.
