I had that problem with the rubber dots, my dealer fixed it ... it was missing a filler piece that keeps the dots from moving up / down.

from the inside of the hood, there are 2 clips on...

from the inside of the hood, there are 2 clips on the left and right side, press them in and push grille outwards towards ya, they will pop right out.

Question Question for those that have the aluminum running boards

I have the 07 X5 with the running boards, Today I noticed that some of the little black rubber dots were actually recessed [From where pple stepped on it]. Are they supposed to protrude a little bit...

I had to extend mine bc my dealer did not have the VIN till much later on.
