Well, for right now I'd stick with the LR3 I already have. I have no real practical reason to take a hit and get an X5, but I would love to have relatively economical turbo-diesel torque and better...

Did you look at the LR3? The 3rd row is pretty usable. I know it doesn't drive as nicely as the X5 or GL, however. I'm stopping at two kids, and plan to trade my LR3 for an X5 3.0sd, hehe. ...

Yeah, I have an e90 335i, and the iDrive screen showing the oil level won't even show any information until the oil temp is over 160degF or so. :eek:
