If the GP's are like my old Mtec's, the outer rings won't be as bright as the inner. Check out my Lux H8 and you'll see it brighter... mind you it was a typical foggy day in San Francisco...

I wouldn't say they aren't visible during the day. The are not as obvious as the OEM just because of the colour themselves.
