Rear tire problem

My 02 X5 3.0 has done the same thing with the rear tires. Alignments, I've found, don't change the problem. I don't get the uneven wear from the front tires though.

It is the drivers side door. The spring or coil has two ends at about the angle of 12 o'clock and 2 o'clock. When you look at the handle assembly, it looks like it should go on the right bottom...
