When was the last time you've changed the fuel filter? Same thing happened to my 04 X5, problem went away as soon as I replaced the fuel filter.

Check your DISA valve....had the p0171 on mine lean on bank one. Found my DISA broken...ordered the repair kit from German auto solutions and also cleaned the MAF sensor....code re appeared combine...

Had the same weird electrical issues with my e46 before....dealer told me its the ignition switch.....ordered the part and replaced it myself....problem solve!

Was able to run DIS but keeps getting a bus error 200.28
Tried reinstalling it and same error....any ideas?
