Sounds like corrosion or a bent tab in the area the bulb holder slides into and locks in place. Take a set of needle nose pliers and gently pull up on the contacts around where the bulb holder goes...

Yeah, you can do it with no problem....three nuts holding each in, take the tail lamp out and remove bulbs, clean surface areas where bulb contact the lamp and if the bulb holder does not fit in...

Brake Lights Driving You Nuts....

There is several posts on here dealing with the simple repair of fixing brake lights, or the tail lights/turn signals. About 2 months back my wife had a bulb out indicator, it was the brake light....

Paul, you are lucky I guess......my opinion with the cheaper not really off brand, but lower budgeted tires gave my X-5 a load roar. I went with the kumhos as well, it was like a 4 x 4 off road tire...

This spring you can always check out Lake Gaston, its close to 2 hours, but is a nice get-a-way, especially on a weekend. You could get a group up and camp out or rent a house for the weekend.
