Aftermarket warranty is as good as the quality of equipment you buy, which is better than the crap...

that would be it I guess, a pic would help, I know. Clip has central 'plug' with retainer on back. Doesn't seem to pull out, or punch centre out.
May just end up cutting it off and replacing...
