I hate to revive such an old thread but I guess it's better than creating a new one! I've just run across this same problem. I replaced both sensors for good measure since they were never replaced...

I feel your pain repo... I was trying to come up with a solution myself because I just replaced my rears today! My tire guy and I both just shook our heads because the tire had so much meat left on...

Yes and No

Yes you have to remove the vibration damper but not the hub. Just remove the 8 smaller bolts around the damper. I had to whack it a few times with a rubber mallet to work it free too.

Nope, not all of the steps apply. I didn't have to remove my air box nor the expansion tank. I'm guessing he did to get plenty of room in there...I'm not sure if our trucks simply have more room...

Man I would be demanding a new truck all together...it sounds like you're having a major electrical issue. NO new vehicle should need anything replaced that soon IMO.

I just passed the 85k mark. Somewhere around 80k my vent hoses blew, so if you haven't started to check your hoses and you're around that mileage it should be time to give them a look-see.
