Grounding straps on an 2009 E70 X5 4.8

Hi All -

We have a definitive grounding issue on our 2009 X5 4.8. The starter died and we replaced it and the car still won't start. We put jump cables on the ground bolt in the engine compartment...

Turns out it was pretty much empty and they suspect the evaporator... so they won't be charging for the refill. They put dye in it and I need to use it for a few days and then bring it back.
