Happy to report it was done under warranty, although I spoke to the tech who was working on it and he said to take it back in a few days so he can check it over again just in case the sump is porous.

replaced under warranty today without any grumbles from the dealer.

PS: I saw them changing it from a distance. Took no more than 10 minutes and they did not disconnect the battery.
