Have the fault codes read, ie. could be several things, camshaft sensor, sensor on clutch/gearbox and so on. Don't just replace poss. things.

Sorry for going a bit off, but why would you take...

Sorry for going a bit off, but why would you take the battery out off the car just for charging when there's connectors under the hood? (For jump starting etc.)
