There is an official version of the v29-1 on my site www.simplymini.info. More than likely your system is having problems reading the disk that you created. Make sure that you are buring in Mode 1.

I have had people buy from EBay only to get a disk that does not work. best just to buy one from the dealer or Navteq. Besides, the majority of the ones on EBay are pirated.

The way to do this is to recode the nav system....

The way to do this is to recode the nav system. There is software on this forum with instructions on how to do this. You will need to make an ibus interface to do it, but I have successfully done it...

Also, the MK3 latest firmware is 22.1 which is typically included on the newer MK4 firmware release. However, there is no need for you to ever update again as it will do nothing for you.

You will have to buy the CD verion of maps, not the DVD version. Your Nav system cannot read DVD's. So, go to your local BMW dealer and purchase a CD set.
