I had the same thing happen. When I looked at one of the connections I could see that it wasn't seated fully. Once I got it to seat completely that warning light went away.

Now, I have a 35d, but these may still appeal:
1. Sprint Booster: SprintBooster Power Converter - www.SprintBoosterSales.com (http://www.sprintboostersales.com/)

2. Ptronic for turbos: DIESEL...

Good resale for 35d should not be a surprise.

I'm surprised the good resale value needs any proving. The number of used diesels will remain small. The price of fuel will keep going up and there's just no way to get 25-30 mpg in an SUV that is...

Short distance was very, very short.

It wasn't apparent to me that there was any damage from inside the car and I didn't get out to look at it until I pulled it into a parking spot. And when I said 'a short distance' I meant 10 feet, to...

I agree and keep two sets of wheels for this reason. One set has summer/rain tires, the other winter tires.

Wink All those things bother me, too.

I've noticed all the things you mention about the X5, too. But I'm committed to the diesel so am staying put. For long family trips the X5 has far exceeded my expectation on MPG, ride, noise level,...

Saw 'Reduce Engine Power' after (mis-)installing PTronic

I've seen the reduce engine power light before. It happened after I installed a PTronic (http://www.ptronic.com/) unit on my X5 35d. I turns out I didn't have the connections seated all the way....

Unhappy X5 meets Curb.....Curb wins

We just had a big snow storm in central pennsylvania. I was in a parking lot when I lost traction on all four wheels and went sliding (much further than I expected) and was stopped by a low concrete...

I have to respectfully disagree with this reviewer. I owned an X5 35d for a week now and have no complaints about the acceleration or smoothness. There is no lag at all. I'm coming out of an Audi A3...
