Thanks for the suggestion. in the satnav menu it shows 4-1/91 which is V30 "firmware" I believe. In the "engineer" menu under the "navi" option the OS version shows as 0910.

Very recently started having an issue with the BMW Sat Nav in my e46 M3. it's a MkIV - version 4 1/9.

I've read many posts with interest (tried some of the hint n tips to no avail.)...
