Off lease...did you get it at a BMW dealership? The you may have a CPO car which means it could still have warranty. AND...sometimes, if the dealership sees that the car has not passed the 50000...

This has happened every now and then to me, I find that if you delete the car out of your phone and then find it again then it tends to work...that is how I troubleshoot it anyways..hope it helps.

Have you tried pushing up on the sunroof button and keep holding it until it resets itself? My roof does this occasionally and so I just reset it each time...I think the cycle is something like it...
