I had the flywheel go on me recently and the x5 was sounding like a tractor....we bought a new flywheel and it was replaced by my mechanic.

Could this issue be related to...

Dent fix on my right fender

The mrs managed to hit a fallen branch on the road causing a slight dent on my right wing....Its one of those that looks like it could pop back out with the right punch from behind.

Somewhere I read the the current is controlled by...

Somewhere I read the the current is controlled by the computer in the x5 and if there is a difference lets say its 100ah then it will produce gases shortening the life of the battery and also cause...

Replacement Battery 2005 x5 3.0d

Winter is here in Poland...and my x5 has died again....it must be the battery so i cam going to replace it...

Can anyone recommend a good alternative....I am not sure what the specs should be.......

just realized something...

The car was in to sort out a battery problem....

And i know that the mechanic removed the the alternator.....I read somewhere in the forum that it could be the belts...
