Updating to clear tail lights

My 3.0 X5 is 10/2000 and I want to install OEM clear tail lights from Ebay. Are they all interchangeble or I should look for only specific years, say pre-face lift of 2004?

I have seen it on all stick cars I drove in last 20 years, from Lada to Lotus, some are better, some are worse. 5th gear issue is worth investigating, but I would start from linkage before blaming...

not sure where is the data coming from, but 5800rpms is about 120 mph, 5000-105 and 4000 around 85 on my car. I took it to redline in 5th many times and never had limiter kicked in.

Here is what I did to fix skipping CD changer

Take the cover off. There are 4 rubber silicone filled shock absorbers on which cd player itself mounted and kinda floating inside the case. Make sure those absorbers are properly seated, turn them...
