Key turns 360 degrees!

Has anyone experienced there key not catching in the ignition and turning 360. This happened to me this morning and the car won’t start. The key simply spins all the way around and never catches. ...

$2900 to rebuild my tranny or $3600 for a rebuilt one from ZF. $800 to put it in.

My question is do recommend rebuilding mine or paying the extra 700 for a new rebuilt one from ZF?
