I had vaseline on the rings and tubes each time. I checked the weep hole and it's bone dry. I can see residue on top of the pump gasket and drips are coming down below both sides of the water pump....

Excellent, thank you! I'm going to bypass the factory cooler completely. I'll have some 5/8" barb adapters, and some FI clamps ready when I chop those hoses.
