Just Valve stem seals

the dealer only replaced the valve stem seals. I had them replace the water pump and belts as long as they were at it. again $5400. as i said before the X runs great, fast and strong.

New Haulingan Head unit and backup camera

Trim Piece removal

If you are not switching the steering wheel you can remove the trim piece by first removing the airbag and then unscrewing 3 torex screws behind the wheel. You don't need take the full wheel off....

Use any of the tire shine products with a tooth brush and rag. spray, brush, wipe. Looks great.

Valve Stem Seals

Has anyone had the seals replaced on the 4.8? Have 116k miles on the engine, oil changed ever 3-4k miles, babied beyond belief and this happens. at the dealer now and looking at $5,500 to repair.

any update on your issue

I know it has been a while but wanted to see if it was the valve stem seals. I am havinf the same issue minus the oil filter problem you had.

Matt Black and Black RBs

I think the Black makes a better statement. The Gunmetal just looks a bit off. Might look better on a silver, white, or gray X. Here is mine with Matt Black wheels.

remove the 3 bolts

I replaced mine over the weekend and needed to remove the three bolts mentioned on the previous post. you need to lift the housing to get access the the bulb cover. if you can get a buddy to hold...

OEM NAV/DSP

Most of the threads are on non DSP or units without NAV. I have NAV and DSP. What do you need to install this unit with that setup. I have a Haulingan radio and am ready to put in a 4 channel amp...

rim and tire size

17s wont fit. front calipers are too big. i put 18s on with 255 50 18 tires. that is the recommended bmw down size from your stock 20s.

Mine is doing the same thing and sounds ditto to yours. coming from same spot. mine is LHD.:dunno:
