Can't answer definitively for all years and models, but the wheels from my 2002 X5 would not fit my 2011 X5. The spare tire in my 2002 X5 was full-size (albeit 17-inch) and I can't see how it would...

Same here. I can move in reverse with the door...

Same here. I can move in reverse with the door open if I go real slow and maintain a little pressure on the brake. Can't go forward without it jumping into Park, though. (2011 35d)
