Auto Locking on/off?

I've just bought my first x5 3.0i its a 03 and I love it . Apart from the autolocking its seems its is its only downfall. Is there anyway of turning this off? :dunno:

Towbar fitting?

Anybody fitted a detachable towbar e53 on yet and could tell me if its very difficult or not? Am mainly worried about doing the electrical part myself as I've fitted towbars on other cars an the past...
