Seat Heater burn

I have an 06 X5 3.0. It is cold in Florida!! Turned the seat heater on, and soon thereafter, noticed a real pain in my butt! The left bolster of the driver seat bottom started smoking and was too hot...

About your tires

I like your tires too, but am wondering if they are directional tires. If so, aren't they mounted backwards on the passenger side? If you are in water, won't the water be pulled into the tire tread...

No cluster installations or any repair work, for that matter. I just noticed that it was on while driving. Next day it was off. I can't find any mention of it in any manual.

Do you mean that the odometer has been tampered...

Do you mean that the odometer has been tampered with, or the trip odometer. (The red light is by the trip odometer.) How would one tamper with the mileage?

Red light by trip odometer

I noticed a red light under the word "miles" on the trip odometer (2006 X5 3.0). Later it disappeared. I could not find any reference for it in the owners manual. Anyone know what it means? Thanks

My rattle fix

I had the same type of rattle described in this forum--from the rear right area. I played with the spare tire, jack, tools etc. with no improvement. I examined the ski passthrough and found the door...
