2nd on the ABS module. My 2000 had those lights when I bought it...but they were solid on. Had ModuleMasters in Idaho rebuild it, no problems since. The Bosch modules have a problem with the wires...

I had the local exhaust shop put an X-pipe on in place of the resonator...wasn't impressed. It's been about 8 months and I took it back in...had them take the X-pipe off, put a magnaflow tru-x...

Different but same.

As far as I can tell from my rebuild book the trans itself is the same. The only difference is the rear housing with the output shaft, which can be swapped over easy enough with the torx bolts on...

Mine did the same thing...

And when I got into it I found that the axial needle bearing between the a/b clutch and the c clutch had gone bad. There is an o-ring that resides between the a/b clutch and when it goes bad it...

I knew about the heat exchanger being thermostatically controlled, but how often do these fail? The cooling system may have caused premature wear due to the fact that I had to replace a water pump...

Has anyone ever put an external trans cooler on their X? I've got a 2000 X5 with a 4.4l and that 5hp24 trans. 155000 miles on it when the trans failed. Pulled it apart and found that the friction...

Pulled the 5hp24 transmission to do a tear down and rebuild. Ordered the kit and it shipped U.S. snail mail...who in turn sent it to the wrong city!

Busted my knuckle open to the bone breaking ...

Anyone ever thought about doing the t-case from a Range Rover? After all they use the same 4.4l motor and the ZF 5hp24 transmission...assuming you don't have the GM trans. I know the manual would...
