i have tried disabling the light checks which didn't solve the problem. your analogy explains why, i guess its the said PMW that is noticed as noise. not the light checks.

there's a much simpler solution - there's an oem aux input cable that fixes itself onto the back of hte head unit, and produces a 3.5mm female port to connect your ipod. no messing around with teh...

I'm not using a hi-low level input converter as my amp is supposed to be able to handle speaker level outs (although yeah, gain at 25% and still earth shattering base (when it works)...
