Turns out I have a bad alt and it burned through my EHC Control Module.

Can I only get the part through BMW? It should be pretty easy to replace, right?

Quick question. On the 05, will the sensor be on the rear passenger or rear driver's side? Might be a good idea to know this before I start jacking up my car in my office's parking garage, ha.

Replaced the alternator and it did fix my idle issue. But now when I accelerate, the interior lights all brighten and it's pretty obvious.

Does this indicate I got a bad Alt?

The longest I held it down was about 40 seconds. (I'll try holding it for 75 seconds when I get a chance).

It would move forward about 1/5 of the way then it would stop and move all the way back....
