I managed to do it by removing the whole thing. Im not entirely sure what you mean. I found it really hard to remove and install the new trim even after eventually...

So, Im finally changing out the wooden trim for alu. Got the middle trim done. The doors i understand how to do. Have to remove the whole door panel. I saw a video...
