It looks original to me. The car was 100% bone stock when I got it, and I can't tell that it's a aftermarket job. It's definitely not tape, so I'm unsure how it got there. Could have been a dealer...

I have not had the chains and guides done yet, its at least 40-50k miles off yet by the looks of them. Not exactly on my list of preventative maintenance.
