If there's a good indy shop near you, try them. They might be able to get a re-manufactured part for a lot less $$$, did that in my E53 4.8iS.

I've stuck with the V1 over the years. The Escort Redline may have a bit more sensitivity, but the directional arrows of the V1 are indispensable, in my opinion.
