Do you have DSP? If so, you need a Resler iBus adapter, coded with your car's VIN, to activate the amp.

The hot air in the foot well could be caused by a bad heater control valve. It's located in the engine compartment, drivers side (in the USA), just above the chassis rail.

Ok - I drove with temp control set to 60, 73 outside, with fan on and off, getting hot air in footwell. So I am more convinced it’s the heater control valve.
