The "clunk" is from the front strut(s). Not lowered. My guess is that the new struts have less than 20 k miles on them. The dip was a decent sized one at an intersection, one you should slow down...

Strutmaster conversion bottoming out.

My 05 4.4 that I picked up this year has strutmaster springs/struts (conversion kit) instead of the original air suspension. I was happy to see this because I won't have to deal with airbags leaking...

Went ahead and got them.

Well, thanks for all the input guys (sarc). They are smooth and quiet. Went with standard size (255/55r18). They are p rated (vs lt) and are speed rated to 130mph. They are designated all terrain...
