so been today in the service. bought with myself...

so been today in the service. bought with myself the outer cv joint and an entire axle.
they compared the inner on both: my old one and the new one, said in the end they don't recommend replacing...

well. i have on here a thread, and my shaft are 27mm, and where i live they import only 29mm axles. so not a choice for me, unfortunately.

yeah, the fact is where i live i can get only 29mm shafts. 27mm only from US and only the shipping cost would be ~$180.

really glad it turns out i got the later build

2000 BMW - front axles question (27mm vs 29mm)

so my X5 is manufactured in March 2000.
according to internet catalogues it uses a 27mm front axles (all X5 till 04.2000) and afterwards the axles are 29mm...

can't find any on local market and,...

if spacers are 20mm - do i need 45mm or 50mm long lug bolts?

i managed to find locally only 50mm ones, so far :(
