All of your symptoms are pointing to bad battery or battery related issue.On our BMWs computer system would shut down all possible battery consuming loads to preserve the state of charge of battery...

Did you scan your modules for any error using BMW specific scanner?Its always a good idea to scan the modules for any error before throwing...

How come smoke is passing through the DPF unfiltered unless turbo seals are dumping oil into the exhaust:dunno:That's strange.

Try to find the type of smoke from them.I mean smoke from engine oil...

Yes that's a common problem.Some people have succeeded in re flashing the module with proper tools.Its just a corrupted software that is not letting the module to boot properly.
