it seems that the software you using is no good. my was doing the same thing. i can hear the CD spinning, but screen would remain blank. also the red LED on the NAVI brain was not on.

I think if you try what I had suggested, I think you should be able to bring your NAVI back to life. Pay attention to the RED LED. Let me know if it was blinking/light-up or not.

I had managed to screw up my MKIV. I was trying to upgrade to V32, but I was burning the software wrong. Ended with blank screen....

Problem solved. I ended up disconnecting the battery for about 20-25 min, then as soon as I reconnect it, before navi started to load, I hit the eject button 5 times and cd came out.
I re-burned v32...

i have a similar issue right now. tried to upgrade working MKIV to V32 and it crashed. so i re-burned a better copy of V32 and try to install it again. no change. screen remained blank. ejected CD....
