Since the smoke was coming from the radiator area...

Since the smoke was coming from the radiator area I figured I will check. That was what i thought 1st till i realized the smell is not coolant.

Would the alternator cause smoke?

Replacing the FSU have solved battery drain and heater not shutting off. Hope that will be the end of it. The shifter red light in p is staying on. I don't think it is is an issue.
