The front part away from the lock uses tabes...

The front part away from the lock uses tabes molded in to the handle that lock into carrier. When the carrier job was done you can strip the tabes off if you turn the handle in the wrong direction...

Regulator on order

BMW parts shows a regulator for 05 4.8. I order one and I am waiting to see what I get. I know the regulator is attached to back of alternator. As long as you can get one it should be serviceable
