As RocketyMan said, are you sure you are chasing a tail light fault or a fog light fault? Turn on the fog light switch and see if your bulb lights. I can send wiring info if you need.

Well I suppose I could wire my head unit out to the kitchen table, it's only 15 metres, and leave the ignition on and run torque pro, but its just easier with bluetooth and my phone.

How about in sport mode, any difference? I can't offer any advice, but it may assist in isolating the fault if there is a change in shifting. Obviously not relevant when shifting to or from reverse.
