Thanks again for the tips. I was able to harvest the connector and enough of the wiring from the donor X5 that I hope to be able to simply leave the enclosure as-is.

I was at the local Pick-n-Pull on Saturday where they'd just put out an '03 4.4i, and while grabbing the parts I was actually there for, noticed that the poor 'ol girl had a factory sub. 3 easily...

Nevermind. I never did find that DSP connector in the dash, but the unused factory car phone antenna coax cable worked just as well. Backup camera is installed and working :)

Replaced: batteries in both keys, 2 leaking washer fluid pump grommets, mesh grill insert in front bumper, front & rear wipers, license plate lamp lenses. Steam cleaned all carpets.
