Battery drain only when left unlocked

When I lock the car with the remote I don't get any battery drain. Left it for a week and started right up. If I don't lock it, it goes dead in about a day. Does that narrow down the draw options?

Yes, I was thinking about the Marvel oil. I have a quart. I'm only down a bit but will probably add the quart. Never knew there was Euro oil? I did see it on Walmart. What's the difference?

I've searched for a video or photos for an X3 engine removal but haven't had any luck. Could someone point me to the right resource? I need to either swap or rebuild mine (2005 X3 3.0)

Just got a 2005 X3 with 148K. Great shape. Runs perfect at start but when warm I get a ticking noise. Sounds like its up on top end like an injector. Also sounds like piston slap but wouldn't I hear...
